unable to join domain using vista

i was trying to join vista ultimate on windows 2003 server enterprise edition.
its showing this message.

Dear Debasis,


This error msg denotes that either the dns ip address in the clients NIC configuration is wrong or dns is unable to resolve the domain name,

Try ommitting ".com" from the domain name
e.g try "rtos" in place of "rtos.com"

i beleive this will work, if does not plz revert back
